Glass roofs and floors

Floors can be constructed from glass to create unique surfaces with a variety of slip resistance grades available. Glass floors are perfect to flood dark rooms with natural light or simply to create a stunning architectural design. Glass can also be used on both stair treads and balustrades as part of a feature staircase.

All of our glass floors are made from toughened and laminated glass to comply with appropriate safety standards and to ensure the floor can absorb the requisite load. Glass can also be double glazed for the use on external glass floors.

In the same way as a glass floor, the installation of a glass roof can fill a dark space with light. Openings can be made into existing roofs and installing a structurally bonded roof light or alternatively glass can be used as a new roof to link two buildings or spaces together.

Glass can be installed to span up to 2.1 metre widths without support and larger spans will require support such as glass beams.

Glass roofs are very low maintenance and maintain their appearance with minimal degradation due to the very stable bond between the glass, aluminium and silicone.

Opening glass roof lights can be fitted within the framing of a glass roof and operated manually or electrically.
